The world-renowned Royal Geographical Society(with the Institute of British Geographers) is the UK's learned society and professional body for geography, founded in 1830 for the advancement of geographical science.

Nathan Joyce is a former editor of wildlife books and is now a freelance writer based in Brighton, UK.
