About the Author
Mary Lee Donovan received her M.A. in Children's Literature at The Center for the Study of Children's Literature, Simmons College in 1986. In addition to being a writer, she is an Editorial Director at Candlewick Press. A native of western Massachusetts, Mary Lee currently resides in Littleton, Massachusetts. Brizida Magro is an illustrator originally from Portugal who now resides in Boulder, Colorado, with her two cats and partner. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University and an MFA in Graphic Design from Utah State University and has illustrated several books, including Let Me Call You Sweetheart and Saturday at The Food Pantry.
