When we think of health heroes, we usually think of humans. But what about the four-legged friends that keep us happy and healthy?

Follow a facility dog that works to help patients in the hospital. These health heroes do the important work of comforting and motivating patients, and more. Discover the tools they use as they work with others in a hospital to keep people healthy. Like all health heroes, they make sure the needs of the patient come first. Meet a facility dog from Mayo Clinic, and find out how these health heroes save the day, every day!

I'm a Facility Dog was created in partnership with Amy Fabian, Certified Child Life Specialist and handler to Mayo Clinic's own facility dog, Alicia.

Meets (C3) Framework for Social Studies standards: College, Career, and Civic Life. D2.Civ.2.K-2. Explain how all people, not just official leaders, play important roles in a community.
