Our Infinite Fates travels deep within the soul and imprints longing for more. It is heart-wrenchingly poetic, full of yearning and loss, heartbreak and tangible hope. It pushes you through emotions along with the main narrator, wishing and praying for more. More of the romance, more for their young lives, and not so much tragic familial loss.

Timelines and past lives weave in and out of the present, shaping the love-hate story that has transcended throughout centuries of fleeting moments full of passionate emotions - whether it be hate, love, or something in between. In the present timeline, Evelyn and Arden are working together, despite the looming death above their heads, and it sounds so bizarre to mention how much they are complete when together, even when they don't entirely trust each other or react to the situation with survival tactics. It's a relationship full of melancholy and desperate desire, and I couldn't decide who I felt more for - Arden and his endless knowledge and repetitive culling to honour their original decision, or Evelyn being so desperate to live past eighteen, and to understand why in every life, this person that they love so wholeheartedly kills them every time.

It's a beautifully told tale and I struggle to express just how much I loved this book because it's so unique, and unlike anything I've ever read. The range of emotions I went through as a reader, from grief to frustration, then hope - so much hope for these fictional characters - kept me invested from start to finish. I also appreciated the author's attention to historical elements, and preserving authenticity of the past lives presented in this book. It was a clever balance between keeping the spirit of Arden and Evelyn alive each time, whilst having distinct differences in each lifetime, and I know I'll be thinking about this read for a very long time.
