PAYBACK'S A WITCH is a fresh, funny, accessible novel for the modern rom-com reader, sparkling with spells and witchcraft
Payback's a Witch by Lana Harper is a captivating tale that introduces Emmy Harlow, a witch in exile. She hasn't returned to her magical hometown of Thistle Grove for years due to a complicated family history and her desire to forge her own path. Gareth Blackmoore, from the most powerful magical family, also plays a tiny part in her reluctant absence.
With a spellcasting tournament approaching, Emmy finds the pull of tradition and the formidable parental guilt trip enough to draw her back. She aims to fulfil her familial duties, reconnect with her best friend, Linden Thorn, and eventually return to her life in Chicago.
On her first night home, Emmy encounters Talia Avramov, a skilled witch of the darker magical arts, who has recently experienced a painful breakupβcourtesy of Gareth Blackmoore. Talia, unaware that Gareth was also involved with Linden, decides she wants revenge, and so does Linden. The big question is whether Emmy will join them.
More intriguingly, Emmy can't stop thinking about the captivating, stunning, and charming Talia Avramov.
