Market Blues
A timeslip adventure novel about a boy who goes busking at the market and finds himself transported back to a century ago.
Shortlisted 2001 Aurealis Awards Children's Long Fiction
This morning Sam Sullivan was a modern kid with a straightforward sort of life. This afternoon he's living in 1901 with a bunch of crazy people who think they know him!
When he's laid a few bets, fought a few thieves, and slept in some pretty strange places, it's time to get real. An accident in a shooting gallery forces him to take a tough decision - can he change the past and affect his own future?
Kirsty Murray enjoys the challenge of blending fiction and non-fiction. She says: 'Playing with ideas, pretending to be other people, and weaving stories together from different threads of information really is my idea of fun.'
Market Blues captures the excitement and mystery of navigating a world far removed from our own while challenging the boundaries of time and history.
