An avid sea swimmer, camper and wildlife-watcher, she also loves mythology and folklore, and writes about mermaids and sea monsters as well as countless real-life creatures. Richard Mead is a writer and editor who specialises in factual titles for children, as well as film and TV-themed publications. His interest in the ocean started at an early age and has progressed from examining rockpools at the beach to observing grey seals, jellyfish and coral reefs while snorkelling. Richard lives in Hertfordshire, England with his family and a devious ginger tabby cat. From the late 80s to the early 90s William Potter played bass in Leeds-based indie band CUD while writing and drawing comics. He moved on to work as an author, editor and artist for numerous licensed-character magazines and has written over 50 non-fiction books for all ages on subjects including the natural world, science and history. He is also a fully qualified scuba diver with over 100 dives logged. With 25 years' experience as an author, Cath Senker has written over 170 children's books, ranging from history, biography, global and social issues to world religions, geography, science, business and environmental topics.
