Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

A tale about one of Australia's most loved reptiles, Loongie the Greedy Crocodile features a greedy saltwater crocodile who resides among the mangroves at Walaman Creek in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. Loongie has no friends, and no-one will come near the creek while he's around. However, Loongie soon learns why being greedy has its consequences.

The character of Loongie was created by mother and son collaborators, Lucy and Kiefer Dann. When Kiefer was a young boy, they would make up stories inspired by Kiefer's country at Loongabid on the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

This children's picture book is a vibrant mix of colour and emotion, marking an illustrative debut by young Broome artist, Bronwyn Houston. Her images depict the unique mangrove systems, seascapes, and colours of the Kimberley.
