About the Author

Kaye Baillie is an award-winning writer of fiction and non-fiction children's picture books and short stories. Many of her picture books have won or been shortlisted for awards such as the CBCA Book Awards, Speech Pathology Australia Book Awards, NSW Premier's History Awards, West Australian Young Readers' Book Awards and the Children's Peace Literature Award. Her work has been published in Australia and internationally. One of Kaye's passions is sharing stories about remarkable people, just like the boy and his cat who inspired the story, Boo Loves Books. Kaye lives in a coastal town in Australia where she enjoys beach walks and baking.

Tracie Grimwood is an award-winning illustrator and artist from Melbourne, Australia. She has produced illustrations for a diverse range of clients, both nationally and internationally, and her many projects include stamp issues, museum installations, editorial illustrations, album covers, greeting cards and dozens of books and book covers. Her personal art practice reflects her love of animals, especially horses and dogs, and her deep connection with the natural world. Her paintings have been shown in many exhibitions including a solo show in 2014. Tracie is also a passionate educator and teaches illustration at Monash University's School of Art, Design and Architecture.
