In Polysecure, Jessica Fern brings a transformative perspective to the exploration of attachment theory within the context of non-monogamous relationships. As society increasingly embraces the diversity of relationship structures, Fern’s work provides critical insights into how secure, emotionally fulfilling connections can be cultivated across multiple partnerships. This groundbreaking text delves deep into the intersections between attachment theory and the dynamics of consensual non-monogamy, offering a refreshing departure from the traditional focus on monogamous bonding.

As a respected psychotherapist with a specialisation in polyamory, Fern weaves together personal and professional insights to create a comprehensive guide that addresses the complexities of maintaining healthy emotional attachments beyond the confines of monogamous expectations. The book introduces readers to Fern’s innovative nested model of attachment and trauma, which expands on existing theories to cover non-traditional relationship configurations. This model helps individuals and partners to understand and navigate the emotional landscapes of their unique relationships.

Fern identifies six practical strategies designed to foster secure attachments amongst multiple partners. These strategies are easy to understand and apply, offering concrete tools for anyone seeking to deepen the emotional security and resilience of their relationships. The advice is grounded in therapeutic methodologies, yet accessible to readers without a background in psychology. Through a blend of theory and practice, Polysecure serves as both an enlightening treatise and a pragmatic manual for those committed to navigating the intricacies of polyamorous relationships with empathy and authenticity.

Polysecure is essential reading for anyone interested in the future of love, intimacy, and connection beyond the conventional. Whether you're polyamorous, curious about non-monogamy, or simply seeking to enrich your understanding of attachment in all its forms, Fern’s work provides valuable insights into how we can all strive for healthier, more emotionally secure relationships.
