Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari is an extraordinary exploration of humanity's history from the dawn of our species to the present day. Harari delves into our evolution, offering insights into the cognitive revolutions that allowed Homo sapiens to rise above other animal species. Traversing through various stages of human development, he examines the Agricultural Revolution, the unification of humankind through the advent of shared myths, and the Scientific Revolution that continues to reshape our world today.

Harari challenges readers to reconsider everything we thought we knew about being human. He poses profound questions about what makes us brilliant and what makes us deadly, navigating through our triumphs and the dark corners of our collective history. Earth has existed for 4.5 billion years, and within a mere fraction of that time, Homo sapiens have conquered it, leaving indelible marks on our planet and its future.

In this bold and provocative book, Harari skillfully blends historical facts with scientific theories to explore the journey of our species. He provides a comprehensive narrative that spans millions of years and looks into the future, asking where we are headed as a species at the brink of the 21st century.

Interesting, but tough work

Sapiens was a very interesting insight into how humans behave but it is very long and took me months to get through. Something worth reading in small chunks.
