Barry Morton is hunting illegally on Lilybank, a large property in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. He seeks a unique trophy, a pure white bull Tahr. Upon returning to his well-concealed secret camp, he discovers a young woman bathing in the hot pool, a pool he believed was known only to members of his family.

This is not all he discovers. He is forced to save his own life by killing two individuals wearing grey camo who clearly were intent on killing him. Barry quickly realises this group of apparent terrorists is killing all persons unlucky enough to encounter them.

Within hours of his lethal encounter with these Grey Ghosts, Barry suspects they may have killed members of the climbing party to which Helen, his unexpected camp companion, belongs. If they are to survive, Barry and Helen must play a deadly game of hide-and-seek, becoming the hunters not the hunted.

Experience the suspense and thrill in Return to Lucifer Creek by Gary Joll.

About the Author

Gary Joll first hunted the Godley Valley in 1959; he was twenty-two years old. Over the following few years Gary and his hunting companions regularly hunted in the Godley Valley and Lilybank Station, in fact it was while hunting the property he learned the station was for sale.

Fully aware of the potential for a future guided trophy hunting enterprise Gary undertook to form a small private company, the transfer of the pastoral lease undertaken, and in October 1970 Gary and his new bride Susan moved onto the station. A new purpose built lodge was under construction by November the same year. In 1992 Gary was awarded the SCI 'Outstanding Professional Guide of the Year' a one-off annual award for excellence of service and quality of trophies.

Gary's first book - Big Game Hunting in New Zealand, was published in 1968. Since then he has published a further seven titles with Return to Lucifer Creek being number six and Aftermath, a sequel to Return to Lucifer Creek being number eight, shortly to be released.

There can be no doubt that Gary Joll has an extraordinary knowledge of tahr and their habitat for he writes with a profound knowledge of both.
