About the Author
Elizabeth Barrett Browning was a Victorian poet know for her emotional and socially conscious poetry. Living most of her life in seclusion due to chronic spinal pain, she penned hundreds of poems during her lifetime and published thirteen collections before her death. Pelé Cox is a poet, performance artist and film maker. She holds an MA in creative writing from the University of East Anglia, under the tutelage of Andrew Motion (then Poet Laureate). She has been Poet in Residence at Tate Modern, the Royal Academy of Arts, Keats-Shelley House and the British School at Rome, and is a visiting tutor at the University of Westminster, London. Her verse "Cento" appears as a frieze on the four walls of Building 7 at Chelsea Barracks, London.
