It Could Be Even Worse

Einat Tsarfati’s charming pessimist-optimist duo endure yet another string of quirky calamities in this lavishly illustrated follow-up to It Could Be Worse.

Albertini and George (and the speckled egg Albertini just found) are flying over a lush green rainforest when—Watch your driving, George!—the odd pair crash down into the canopy, Albertini clutching the egg.

Then, of course, it begins to rain. As they plummet further, into a pond of poisonous blistered frogs, a flock of annoying parrots, and the smelly belly of a carnivorous plant, the two explorers narrowly avoid being snacked on, shot, and shattered.

Still, George keeps assuring Albertini, “It could be much worse!” When an awfully strange noise begins to emanate from that precious egg, however, and a pair of giant eyes glow between temple columns, even George may have to admit that he’s met his match.

Filled with the same droll humour and detailed illustrations as Albertini and George’s first misadventure, this tropical follow-up from author-illustrator Einat Tsarfati couldn’t be better.
