Description
The word rune means "mystery" and casting the runes enables the runecaster to penetrate the mystery of the relationship between the gods and humans, and between internal and external environments.
Strongly loyal to the ancient traditions, Thorsson traces the evolution of runecasting, showing its historical, spiritual, and cosmological significance. He shows:

About the Author
Edred Thorsson is an American Runologist who synthesises solid academic research with intuitive insight and a strong emphasis on the practice of rune magic. He received his Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Mediaeval Studies in 1984 with a dissertation entitled Runes and Magic: Magical Formulaic Elements in the Elder Tradition.
