Book Hero Magic crafted this summary to help describe this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Summary
Newspaper by Edouard Levé ingeniously mimics the format of a daily newspaper, offering a unique exploration of contemporary life. Through faux articles and reports, the author creates a vivid and sometimes surreal depiction of everyday events, capturing the banality and absurdities of modern society. It's a thought-provoking piece that blurs the line between reality and fiction, immersing readers in a highly original narrative style.

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

In his second novel, Newspaper, the acclaimed writer, photographer, and artist Edouard Levé made perhaps his most radical attempt to remove himself from his own work.

Made up of fictionalized newspaper articles, arranged according to broad sections – some familiar, some not – Newspaper gives us a tour of the modern world as reported by its supposedly impartial chroniclers.

Much of this "news" is quite sad, some is funny, but the whole serves as a gory parody of the way we have been taught to see our lives and the lives of our fellow human beings.

Tanguy Viel's parody/pastiche of the American novel is subtle and experimental; it tells a story at the same time as it implicitly poses questions about the narrative structure it is deploying. -The French Review In The Disappearance of Jim Sullivan, disappearance is both a theme and a stylistic device. Indeed, this publication narrates the disappearance of Dwayne Koster, who, fascinated...
