Book Hero Magic crafted this summary to help describe this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Summary
Pro Caelio is a compelling speech by Cicero, delivered as a defence of his friend Marcus Caelius Rufus, who faced charges of political violence and other crimes in ancient Rome. Through a clever mix of wit and rhetoric, Cicero not only advocates for Caelius but also paints a vivid picture of Roman society, addressing issues of morality and social norms. The work serves as both a legal document and a fascinating insight into Roman legal practices and oratory skill.
