Red River Rose tells the story of Rose and her family, part of the Métis people, who have lived on their lands for generations. She loves to watch the ferry bring goods and news across the river to their town.
However, when Rose's elders begin speaking in hushed tones and her parents start arguing over whether they should "join the resistance," Rose becomes concerned that their lives and lifestyle are at risk. Determined to help her community, Rose embarks on an adventure that will test her bravery in ways she never expected. She is willing to do anything to protect her family, her home, and her way of life.
