In Monkey Prince Vol. 1: Enter the Monkey, Marcus Sun navigates life as the new kid at Gotham City High School while discovering his extraordinary origins. Raised by adoptive parents who are freelance henchpeople, Marcus finds himself travelling the vast DC Universe—from Gotham City, where he encounters Batman, to Amnesty Bay and Aquaman's Kingdom of Atlantis. A mysterious, pig-faced man reveals to Marcus that he is the Monkey Prince, a heroic figure with powers that include transforming into 72 different forms, cloning himself using his hairs, and a rich legacy connected to the legendary Monkey King. Penned by New York Times bestselling author Gene Luen Yang and illustrated by Bernard Chang, this graphic novel blends myth and superhero adventure to introduce a new prankster hero to the DCU.
