Your Soul Is Wintering
A stunningly written memoir about navigating the grief of miscarriage. More than just a book about baby loss, however, this book is for anyone who has lost something or someone dear to them, and is learning how to open themselves up to healing and being happy again.
After enduring the loss of two babies in utero, Annie Anderson felt heartbroken, directionless, and alone in her grief. She wondered if she would ever experience joy again. The sense of loss experienced by Annie and her husband Rob was only compounded by the gaps within the healthcare system and the taboo nature (and misunderstandings) of grief and baby loss in our society.
Despite her profound sadness, Annie has always had a strong sense that our lives are a precious gift, and that the hard seasons we experience can be invitations to unearth our inner strength. By venturing into the heart of her pain and opening herself to learning, these most challenging of experiences would ultimately propel her forward, stronger and wiser. Annie also discovered she had the power to articulate these lessons to others in a way that resonated deeply.
Weaving in inspirational quotes from the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Auschwitz survivor Edith Eger, Your Soul Is Wintering is an intelligent, uplifting, and beautifully written memoir. It is an unflinching exploration into the heart of grief and a precious gift for anyone who has experienced loss of any kind. This book is destined to become essential reading for anyone seeking to find their joy again, whatever their story.

About the Author
Annie Anderson has a beautiful reverence for life, a strong faith and a love of people. Born and raised on a farm in the small South Island town of Timaru, for as long as she can remember Annie has had a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others. She has a Bachelor of Education (BEd) and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning (Grad Dip) and as a secondary educator devotes her time to empowering NZ youth and equipping them with the tools and skills to realise their potential. Annie lives in Christchurch with her family - her husband Rob, three gorgeous earthside children Jai, Arabella and Rose, two angels that watch on from above, and her mischievous husky Kobe. When she is not with her family and friends, you will find her writing, indulging her love of chocolate or immersing herself in nature.
