Heartstopper Volume 4
*Now an acclaimed live-action Netflix series!*
Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. The bestselling LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the fourth volume of the HEARTSTOPPER series. *Includes exclusive Teachers mini-comic*
Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman continues the tender and heartfelt story of Nick and Charlie as they navigate the highs and lows of teenage life and the intricacies of their blossoming relationship. In this volume, the warm summer days transition into the crispness of autumn, marking the start of a new school year, full of anticipation and challenges.
Charlie never imagined that Nick could reciprocate his feelings, but now they are joyously, officially boyfriends. As their bond strengthens, Charlie starts to feel ready to express his deep affection by saying those three magical words: I love you. However, Nick is grappling with his own internal struggles. Alongside the joy of newfound love, he faces the daunting task of coming out to his father. Additionally, Nick becomes increasingly worried about Charlie, whose behaviour suggests he might be dealing with an eating disorder.
Through the ups and downs, Nick and Charlie delve into what it truly means to love and be loved. They learn about each other's vulnerabilities, fears, and the importance of communication. As their journey unfolds, readers are treated to a beautifully paced and emotionally resonant narrative that explores themes of love, friendship, and loyalty.
Created by Alice Oseman, a recipient of the prestigious YA Book Prize, Heartstopper sheds light on important issues such as mental health and eating disorders with sincerity and sensitivity. Every moment detailed in Nick and Charlie’s lives contributes to a larger, universally relatable story that speaks to the essence of human connections and the courage it takes to be true to oneself.
Volume 4 also includes the exclusive "Teachers" mini-comic, providing additional depth and context to this beloved series.
