A Flash of Fireflies tells the story of Hazel's new life in England, which should have been the stuff of fairy tales. Her Great Aunt’s cottage looks just like a gingerbread house, complete with a magical garden and whispering fireflies that promise quests and adventures.
However, as Hazel struggles to manage the challenges of the everyday world—making friends and missing her family—she also discovers that every fairy tale has a dark side. Terrifying creatures lurk in the shadows, reminding her that magic can hold unexpected dangers.
