New Releases to add to your TBR this week (21st July)

If you're looking for your next fiction read, the new releases this week are stacked full of them! Here's everything you need on your radar this week.

New releases to add to your TBR

Fiction New Releases!

This week we have new thrillers to keep everyone's pulse pounding and blood pumping! 'No Prisoners' by Ellis Blake sounds incredible, set against an isolated icy backdrop, a physicist is trying to find out what has happened to her husband whilst also working on the mysteries of the universe. It sounds right up my alley and as soon as I saw it compared to 'Dark Matter' by Blake Crouch it went straight onto the TBR. 'Every Lake' by Adam Perry also sounds excellent, where a young woman returns to her family lakefront cottage where a murder happened a decade earlier. The other two I'm adding to my own TBR are 'The Last to Drown' which is a thriller set on a rafting trip, and 'The Parkwood Murders' which is set in a woodland haven resort (I love thrillers that have a strong setting!).

The other fiction release this week that is jumping straight to the top of my wishlist is the cosy sci-fi 'Moss'd in Space' by Rebecca Thorne. Looking like a combination of Red Dward, Murderbot, and Becky Chambers (all favourites of mine) this sounds right up my alley where there's an old abandoned spaceship covered in moss only the moss is actually a snarky organic computer.

Romantasy readers will be happy to see the much-anticipated follow up to 'Arcana Academy',is out! 'Prince of Swords' by Elise Kova is book 2 in the series, with a creative tarot inspired magic system and academy, and an enemies to lovers romance. 'Duskbound' is another thrilling romantasy follow up that's out with more enemies to lovers (can you tell it's our favourite trope?).

Non-Fiction New Releases!

Luckily for our TBR that grows rapidly out of control, this week there's one new non-fiction book to add to the list. 'The Best Possible Life' by Jim Murphy is for those of us who love a little self help and spiritual guidance. Drawing on 2000 years of wisdom as well as his own experience, Jim shares his guide to a life of peace, joy and contentment. Full of the reminders you didn’t know you needed, this book is the one you need to live your best possible life, the one where you are your most grounded and authentic self.
