Tim and Dylan spoke about the challenges facing retail and bookselling in New Zealand, along with the opportunities they create to invest and do things differently. To help keep books affordable for Kiwi readers despite rising costs and inflation, we’re continuing to invest heavily in stock held right here in our Auckland warehouse, alongside custom software and operational improvements built by Tim and Alastair to help us work smarter and more efficiently.
As a local Hobsonville resident, Cameron also had the chance to hear from Lizzy about the growing community around our bookstore - from the families visiting us every weekend to the local authors we’re proud to support, including tomorrow's signing with Eugene Bingham for his new book The Chief and Empire.
