Part of the authoritative and acclaimed Penguin Shakespeare series, now rejacketed in the celebrated Penguin Classics livery.
Henry VI Part Two tells the story of Henry VI, who is tricked into marrying Margaret, the lover of the Earl of Suffolk. Suffolk hopes to rule the kingdom through her influence. There is one great obstacle in Suffolk's path, howeverβthe noble Lord Protector, who Suffolk slyly orders to be murdered.
Upon discovering this betrayal, Henry banishes Suffolk. However, with his Lord Protector gone, the unworldly young King must face his greatest challenge: an impending Civil War and the rising threat of the House of York.
