Vincent van Gogh: Starry Night over the Rhône (Soft Touch Journal) offers a captivating design inspired by one of the world's greatest painters. Van Gogh's work has had a huge and far-reaching influence on 20th-century art, remaining visually and emotionally powerful to this day. In a letter to his sister Wilhemina, Van Gogh expressed his fascination with the night, writing: 'Often it seems to me night is even more richly coloured than day.'

In this night painting, the sky is Prussian blue, ultramarine and cobalt, with sparkling yellow gaslights and stars. The spot depicted is in Arles, close to the Yellow House he famously rented.
