The Market
In-depth exploration of markets and navigation towards a sustainable future
From the Roman market to digital currencies - how has the market developed over the course of history and what could it look like in the future? This anthology provides an in-depth exploration of the development of markets and offers a closer look at the critical role that markets play in shaping their contemporary world, but it also addresses the burning question of how we should navigate the path to a sustainable future.
In thought-provoking essays written by international academics, political leaders and experts, the dynamics of the market are examined in three critical phases: yesterday, today and tomorrow. They begin in ancient Greece and the markets of medieval Europe and end by considering challenges to the stability of the market posed, for example, by authoritarian states and AI.
