Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

The Last Orphan by Gregg Hurwitz follows the story of Orphan X, Evan Smoak, who has spent years atoning for his former life as a government assassin.

He now faces an impossible choice: kill, or be killed.

Trained as an assassin codenamed Orphan X, Evan left that life behind to protect the helpless. He believes that saving lives is far more significant than taking them. However, a call from the President forces him back into his old world.

Her instruction is clear: kill a man who poses a threat to the government, or Evan himself will face execution. The President, however, should know better. Forcing Orphan X's hand only makes him more dangerous, especially when he has reason to doubt the integrity of her motives.
