O'Keefe delves deeper into a universe on the precipice of chaos and destruction. This second instalment of the Devoured Worlds trilogy continues the exhilarating saga of Naira and Tarquin as they strive to unearth the mysteries threatening their existence. Fleeing from relentless counter-revolutionaries, grotesque misprinted monsters, and a planet on the brink of collapse, the duo finds themselves entangled in a web of secrets held by the powerful Mercator family.
As Naira and Tarquin uncover clues about the blight ravaging habitable planets, a new and urgent threat emerges. The head of the Mercator family vanishes, taking with him the galaxy's last reserves of precious starship fuel. This disappearance ignites a fierce struggle for power among the ruling families, thrusting the universe into turmoil.
