Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! DescriptionIn this Sunday Times bestselling novel, we follow Ji-won, a young woman struggling to pick up the pieces of her life after her father's infidelity tears her family apart. As if the familial discord wasn't enough, Ji-won is further provoked by her mother's new, culturally insensitive boyfriend. His penchant for mansplaining Korean culture and his lecherous gazes both at her and her sister push Ji-won's emotions to the brink.
Obsessed with his striking blue eyes, Ji-won begins to harbour dark fantasies, which spiral into a chilling obsession that threatens to consume her. In an attempt to save her family and quench her growing cravings, Ji-won makes a drastic decision that sets the novel on a thrilling and disturbing path.
The Eyes Are The Best Part is more than just a tale of vengeance and violence; it is a social commentary on misogyny, racism, and cultural fetishisation. Kim’s portrayal of Ji-won is both darkly funny and poignantly real, bringing to light the complexities of the female experience and societal pressures.
