Radicalised in prisons, recruited and trained to be deadly assassins, they're invisible, working menial jobs no one notices.

A silent army is assembled to avenge the martyrs killed by US drones. The plan is to publicly kill a long list of VIPs, starting with someone close to the American president.

Before the killing begins, Adam Drake, an attorney and former Delta Force Tier 1 operator, is assigned to a CEO of a defence contractor, whose assistant was murdered in his office.

Drake becomes suspicious of the IT security firm that has access to the building.

When the FBI ignores his warning, he's forced to rely on his own skills to protect the Secretary of Homeland Security and his client from attack during a public ceremony.

Now the assassins add Drake to their list, targeting him and the only family he has left.

A fast-paced, action-packed thriller with a plot that could be tomorrow's headline.

About the Author

Scott Matthews got hooked on reading thrillers - especially the James Bond thrillers - as an escape from the required reading in his high school English class; The Odyssey, The Scarlet Letter, The Great Gatsby and all the other "great" literature meant to prepare him for college and life beyond.
But Bond was fun! When Scott studied for the Oregon bar exam, he rewarded himself after a long day of study, reading a dog-eared Fleming paperback for fifteen minutes before turning off the bedside light each night.
His collection of thrillers later expanded to include the novels of John MacDonald, Nelson DeMille, Barry Eisler, Randy Wayne White, Daniel Silva and Steve Berry. And when his favorite authors took too long releasing their next books, he started jotting notes for a thriller he would write someday.
Scott still lives on the Left Coast in Oregon with his beautiful wife, and now writes his own thrillers that carry on the tradition of a brave and patriotic hero battling evil enemies and terrorists to protect his homeland.
