Supercars is an ambitious and comprehensive survey of more than two hundred supercars from 1980 through 2025.
They fascinate with their performance and captivate with their lines. They impress with their sophistication, intrigue with their rarity, and daunt with their price. We wonder about their owners, their destinations, and the way they are used. We admire the ingenuity of their engineers, the imagination of their designers, and the craftsmanship of the artisans who bring them to life. These truly exceptional automobiles fully deserve the name bestowed upon themβfor in every respect, they are supercars.
Unfolding chronologically, this volume showcases some of the most remarkable machines ever builtβfrom the groundbreaking Porsche 959 of 1983 to the very latest Mercedes AMG Mythos Purespeed introduced in December 2024βalongside such icons as the Mercedes SLR McLaren, the Bugatti Veyron and Chiron, the Lamborghini Veneno, and the Aston Martin DBR22. These legends stand next to rare variants and creations from more exclusive marques such as Czinger, Zenvo, and Praga.
Each model is accompanied by a detailed technical profile outlining its specifications and performanceβpower, top speed, accelerationβas well as production numbers. Nearly four hundred striking photographs, many rare and previously unpublished, enrich the book, along with specially commissioned thematic infographics. A work as bold and extravagant as its subject, this book will inspire, inform, and enthrall every devotee of cutting-edge automotive excellence.
