30 simple intervention sessions for Reception and KS1 children with speech sound difficulties, to enable them to develop secure foundations for phonics and speech sounds.
Speech Sound Interventions offers 30 simple intervention sessions for Reception and KS1 children with speech sound difficulties, aimed at helping them develop secure foundations for phonics and speech sounds.
This supportive, easy-to-use resource provides 30 session plans that teachers or teaching assistants can implement in intervention groups throughout the academic year. It eliminates the need for an expensive and complicated new programme or the use of specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) time for a large group of children. The materials are designed to complement existing UK phonics programmes and integrate seamlessly with your current teaching approach.
The structured half-hour sessions offer children opportunities to practise and enhance their speech sound skills. With a specific focus on speaking and listening, guided by experienced therapists, these sessions help to address speech sound difficulties, support children's learning, and facilitate the development of secure phonics foundations.
