Cynthia Rylant is the author of more than one hundred books for young people, including beloved series Henry and Mudge, Motor Mouse, and Mr. Putter & Tabby series. Her novel Missing May received the Newbery Medal. She lives in Oregon.

Benson Shum is an award-winning children’s book author and illustrator whose books for young readers include Anzu the Great Kaiju, Little Seed, and Small Pets.
