It's not how you fall, it's how you rise.
This is the gripping, often surprising story of one of New Zealand's toughest and most resilient fighters.
Shane Cameron rose from humble beginnings to become a dominant force in the Australasian heavyweight division. Known for his explosive power and fearless fighting style, Cameron captured multiple national titles and fought 'The Fight of the Century' against David Tua in the biggest boxing match in New Zealand history.
Raw, inspiring and unflinchingly honest, this book is more than a boxing story—it's a testament to resilience, redemption and the fighting spirit of a Mountain Warrior.

About the Author
STEVE KILGALLON is the Auckland editor for The Post and The Sunday Star-Times. He has worked as a sports reporter, feature writer, senior investigations correspondent and editor for Stuff and the Sunday Star-Times, as well as for the Sydney Morning Herald in Australia and The Guardian in England. Steve and Shane have known each other for 20 years — Steve was the boxing writer at the Sunday Star-Times from 2005–2010, covering much of Shane’s career, and was at many of his fights, including the famous bout with David Tua. He even sparred Shane once for a story (and didn’t do very well). This is Steve’s seventh book, after The Sports Insider, with Jack Ralston, Never Give Up, with Ian Winson, Relentless, with Scott Donaldson, Tools for the Top Paddock, with Kane Brisco, Inner Warrior, with Jaye Pukepuke, and Crono, with Mike Cron.
