About the Author

Kirk Alexander's journey to becoming an author has been inspired in various ways. From growing up in Lafayette, Louisiana, to serving in the Air Force, to his work as an educator, to fatherhood, and to serving as a military spouse to his inspirational wife. Eight years ago, he decided to become an educator in hopes of inspiring future generations. He enjoys working with students daily to consistently improve and reach new heights. However, he quickly found himself wanting to spend more time teaching them leadership and life skills than traditional school subjects. He's always been one to pass on to others the knowledge and skills he's learned. Inspired by a conversation with his childhood best friend, he decided to take the leap and become a coach, speaker, and trainer. Having the opportunity to work with leaders of companies and the U.S. military is an honor. His mission is to develop dynamic leaders who accelerate change and positively affect culture. Since there are a limited number of people who can be reached through training or speaking engagements, he wanted to become an author to share what he's learned and continue to learn with anyone seeking self-improvement. This book is the first of a series to inspire and develop the next generation of leaders.
Every good story starts with "There I was ..." Well, mines starts with where I was not! While looking for fulfillment and an identity, I decided to enlist into the United States Air Force. Having served more than twenty-seven years, there is no way looking back would ever be an option. Mentors and trusted partners guided me through trials and tribulations, allowing me to self-examine and grow into the human being I desired to be. People are my passion, and serving this great nation is something I cherish every day. It's said there comes a moment in your life when you become invested in the things you love and your path becomes clear. Since discovering my path, I have been charging forward with shaping lives and investing in others. Of all the accolades I have achieved throughout my career, what I am most proud of is being known for giving my all to develop others to be the best versions of themselves. I am a reflection of the village that raised me and continues to lift me with prayer. Who would have ever thought that an eighteen year old who left Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1995 would travel the world, reaching hundreds of thousands through inspirational instruction and living a life of purpose? God Did!! Because of you, I am a certified internal speaker, trainer, and coach. You have allowed me to have certifications in many disciplines to add value to this world. As I am closing in on my doctorate in strategic leadership, I give you all the glory for all that continues to happen in my life. Cannot stop, will not stop!
