Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Provenance in Architecture is a critical compendium that explores the provenance of artworks, a pressing concern in both scholarship and politics today. When applied to architecture, provenance reveals fresh and unexpected dimensions in the social, material, and cultural lives of buildings and architectural artefacts. This perspective reframes essential questions about migration, movement, and circulation.

The book illuminates the intricate journeys of fundamentally composite objects, tracing their paths from complex origins to uncertain destinations. This compendium examines architectural provenance through 101 key concepts, spanning from "Acquisition" to "Will". Each entry offers innovative ways to write architectural history, highlighting the dynamics of how architecture moves, is destroyed, survives, and undergoes transformation.
