The first monograph by Swedish artist Pia Ferm provides a comprehensive overview of both her marble sculptures and tufted tapestries. These are created from sketches and watercolour drawings, though their drawing origins remain visible in the hand-worked wool surfaces.

The abstract patterns of these works are more reminiscent of paintings than of classic tapestries—thus the term "woven drawing" unquestionably fits Ferm's distinctive works. The artist is concerned with breaking down genre boundaries: When does a work of art cross the status from sculpture to painting, or vice versa?

In addition to extensive visual material, the monograph contains texts on the artist's working methods.
