Off the Beaten Track
Age range 9+
Off the Beaten Track follows the story of Paul, a ten-year-old boy who lives with his aunt and uncle. His life takes an unexpected turn when Bruce, an old family friend, reappears after three years of silence, eager to fulfil a promise he made to Paul to take him on a three-day mountain trek.
Paul yearns for Bruce's friendship and desperately wants to prove himself. However, he finds himself caught between his timid nature and his desire to show courage, especially as Bruce, who is more adept at taking action than explaining, doesn't make things any easier.
A dramatic event unfolds, giving Paul the opportunity to find his inner strength and demonstrate to himself and others what he is truly capable of.
