Ned Kelly by Hugh Dolan brings to life the tale of Edward 'Ned' Kelly, born in 1855 into a poor Irish immigrant family in rural Victoria. Growing up, Ned was loyal to his family and incensed by the injustices he witnessed in Australian society, driving him to improve his circumstances by any means necessary. Often in trouble with the police, he, alongside the so-called Kelly Gang, engaged in horse and cattle stealing, bank robbing, kidnapping, and ultimately murder. However, he was the only bushranger to pen a famous and compelling letter explaining his behaviour.

As every Australian knows, after a legendary shoot-out Ned was captured by police and later hanged at Melbourne Gaol. Whether seen as a folk hero or a criminal, Ned Kelly offers a fresh perspective on the story as you've never seen it before.
