Love as Always, Mum xxx is a chilling memoir by Mae West, the daughter of mass murderer Fred West and his wife Rose, that unveils the savage cruelty of her upbringing in 25 Cromwell Street, Gloucester. As described by the Daily Mail, this account offers a haunting insight into her life.

"Mae, I mean this ... I'm not a good person and I let all you children down ..." - Rose West, HM PRISON DURHAM

It has taken Mae over 20 years to gain the perspective and strength to tell her remarkable story. Her narrative is one of an abusive and violent childhood, of living with serial killer parents, and how she has endeavoured to rebuild her life in the shadow of their horrific crimes.

Through her own memories, meticulous research, and the letters her mother wrote to her from prison, Mae delivers an emotionally powerful account of life as a West. From being a toddler locked in the deathly basement to a teenager combating the sexual advances of her father, Mae's journey is one of survival.

Her story raises profound questions: How do you come to terms with knowing your childhood bedroom was a graveyard? How do you accept that your parents sexually tortured, murdered, and dismembered young women? How do you become a mother yourself when you're haunted by the knowledge that your own mother was a monster? Why were you spared, and how do you escape the nightmare?
