From the very first cover of Love and Rockets in 1982, Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez have created artwork that subverted, contradicted, and celebrated the history of the comic book medium. They inverted familiar tropes and created some of the most iconic images in comics over the past 30 years, inviting fans and readers into their world.
Amazingly, many of the covers have never been collected or printed. This not only rectifies the problem, but it also enhances the covers by showing them without trade dress (logos, marketing, etc.), allowing them to shine in this oversized art book.
