About the Author

Oswald Chambers (18741917) is best known for the classic devotional My Utmost for His Highest. Born in Scotland, Chambers had a teaching and preaching ministry that took him as far as the United States and Japan. He died at age forty-three while serving as chaplain to Allied troops in Egypt during World War I.
Phil Smouse loves to tell kids about Jesus. Once upon a time he wanted to be a scientist. But scientists have to do a lot of math. And they don't get wonderful letters from kids. So Phil decided to draw and color instead. He and his wife, Annette, live in sunny Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
