About the Author

Jay Adams's stepfather Kent Sherwood is a photographer and one of the founders of Z-FlexΒ skateboards. In 1996, inspired by creating lighter surfboards, he innovated and patented aΒ new foam mold process, which led to founding his company Foam Matrix, which nowΒ contracts with aerospace companies like Boeing to make foam wing designs for militaryΒ aircraft. C. R. Stecyk III is a multimedia artist and writer. He was also a writer and productionΒ designer on the documentary film Dogtown and Z-Boys. Glen E. Friedman is a celebrated skate, hip-hop, and punkΒ photographer. He is the author of the Rizzoli book My Rules.
