About the Author

Rose Lucas is a Melbourne poet and academic at Victoria University who lives and works on unceded Wurundjeri country. She is the author of three poetry collections: Even in the Dark (UWAP 2013, winner of the Mary Gilmore Award), Unexpected Clearing (UWAP 2016) and This Shuttered Eye (Girls on Key/Liquid Aber Press 2021). She also collaborated with visual artist Sharon Monagle to produce two exhibitions and books of poetry and painting: Who Do I think I Am? (Liquid Amber Press 2020) and 2020 Shelter in Place (Liquid Amber Press 2021).
