In Hate Revisited!, Buddy Bradley and Lisa Leavenworth, now middle-aged with a free-spirited young adult of their own, confront their poor decisions made in their youth during the grungy 1990s. The narrative expertly shifts between the present day, illustrated in full colour, and their Gen X heyday, depicted in glorious, crosshatched black-and-white.

Readers are given a glimpse into how Buddy met Lisa, Stinky, George, and Val for the first time. Meanwhile, Buddy must come to terms with the tragic and previously covered-up circumstances of Stinky's untimely death from the original Hate series.
