About the Author
Scott Pitoniak is a nationally honored columnist and best-selling author of more than twenty books who has spent nearly a half century in journalism. The 1977 magna cumaude graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications is a member of five halls of fame and the recipient of more than one hundred national and state writing awards. The Associated Press Sports Editors named him one of America’ s top ten columnists.
Rick Burton is the David B. Falk Endowed Professor of Sport Management in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. A 1980 graduate of Syracuse’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Burton is the coauthor of numerous books and serves as Syracuse’s faculty athletics representative (FAR) to the ACC and NCAA.
