About the Author

Kathy McCabe is the host and executive producer of the hit travel TV series "Dream of Italy" airing on PBS stations, Create TV, and Amazon Prime. She believes Italy can change your life - whether you travel to Italy, move to Italy, or just live like an Italian at home. It was McCabe's first visit to Italy in 2002 when she fulfilled her grandfather's dream of the family rediscovering his father's birthplace that then gave birth to Dream of Italy, the award-winning travel magazine and membership site. 180 issues (and counting) of the magazine cover every corner of Italy detailing where to go, who to meet, what to see, where to stay and what to eat. The travel magazine is the inspiration for the TV series which includes two seasons, the "Dream of Italy: Tuscan Sun Special" and "Dream of Italy: Travel, Transform and Thrive" with guests Sting & Trudie Styler, Francis Ford Coppola, Under the Tuscan Sun author Frances Mayes, best-selling financial author David Bach, retiree Sally Carrocino and interior designer Arlene Antoinette Gibbs. Viewers describe McCabe as "warm," "genuine," "authentic" and "filled with joy." She is also the host of the "Dream of Italy Podcast" which was lauded by The New York Times as one of "13 Podcasts for Wandering Souls."
