Claude in the City is a delightful tale of a very special dog named Claude who leads an extraordinary life.

When Mr and Mrs Shinyshoes set off for work, Claude decides which adventure he wants to embark on that day. Today, he and Sir Bobblysock venture to the city for the very first time. They enjoy tea in a café, go shopping, and visit a museum. Everything seems quite ordinary until Claude accidentally foils a robbery, turning into the local hero!

About the Author

Alex graduated from Coventry University with a degree in Illustration and won second place in the Macmillan Prize for Children's Illustration. Alex's first picture book won the Coventry Inspiration Award, and was longlisted for the Greenaway Medal in 2009. Alex was also shortlisted for The Best Emerging Illustrator Award by Booktrust in 2008.
