About the Author
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 1894) was an English author born in Edinburgh. He studied at Edinburgh University and then went on to write novels, short stories, and poems, including Treasure Island, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the beloved A Child s Garden of Verses. Kathleen Olmstead has written more than a dozen fiction and non-fiction books for young adults, and her short fiction and poetry have appeared in literary journals including Fireweed and Taddle Creek. She has written several books in the Classic Starts series including Classic Starts : Oliver Twist and Classic Starts : Anne of Green Gables. She lives in Toronto, Canada.
